...with that I mean lots of things - our planet, the local environment and materials I choose to work with.
The wood I source is the beginning of my creative process. usually on its second or third love. Meaning it has been a beautiful tree first, which hopefully offered shade to something smaller than itself and perhaps was home to a bird or a snake. Often, when the trees are old they come down in storms. Other times, the timber I select is reclaimed and the aged appearance tells a rich story.

Made from repurposed french oak wine barrels. These platters are made to serve an entire banquette to a group of 10. Sealed with bees wax, they wont drip on to the table. All are three 'staves' with and each one is unique, the one pictured is a typical example. 100% food safe and can be washed with warm soapy water. 290mm x 1m
